Parts of the Body — Unit 2, Beginner English
Head to toe — face, arms, hands, legs, inside the body, pronunciation, and health phrases.
Reading: The Human Body
Our body is amazing! Let's look at the different parts.
First, let's look at the head and face. The most important parts are the eyes and nose. Your eyes help you see. Your nose helps you smell. On your face, you also have a forehead and a mouth. Inside your mouth, you have a tongue and teeth. Teeth help you eat food. You have 32 teeth when you are an adult.
Next, let's look at the arms and legs. Your arms have shoulders at the top, elbows in the middle, and wrists at the end. Your hands are at the end of your wrists. Your legs have knees in the middle and ankles near your feet. You have toes on your feet. You have five toes on each foot.
Finally, let's look inside your body. Your chest is on the front of your body. Your stomach is below your chest. Your skin covers your whole body. Inside your body, you have important organs. Your heart pumps blood. Your lungs help you breathe. Your brain helps you think. All of these parts are important for your body to work.
Your body needs food and water to work well. When you eat, your teeth and your tongue start the work. Your stomach finishes it. Doctors say we must drink water every day, because water is good for your skin and for your brain.
Your body also needs exercise. When you run, your heart works fast and your legs and your knees become strong. When you swim, you use your arms, your shoulders and your back. Sport is good for the whole body.
Remember: every part of your body is important. A small part like a finger or a thumb helps you every day. You use your fingers to write and to open a door. You use your feet to walk and to stand. Look after your body, and your body will look after you.

British English spelling and vocabulary, which is what most learners in Azerbaijan are taught and what IELTS expects, though both are accepted in the exam.
