Model answer
This looks like a small bakery, probably in the middle of the morning, because the shelves at the back are already full of finished bread. In front there is a man shaping dough by hand on a steel table covered in flour. Behind him somebody is sliding a long tray of loaves into an open oven, so a second batch is clearly going in. On the right a third worker is standing by the cooling shelves with a clipboard, and I would guess she is counting what is ready for the shop or for a delivery. They are all in aprons and nobody is looking at the camera, so it seems to be an ordinary working morning rather than a posed photograph. It looks hot and quite hard work, but also well organised: each person has one job and they are not getting in each other's way.
How to do well
- Use your preparation time to pick three things to mention, not to write sentences.
- Describe, then interpret: what is happening, and what might be going on behind it.
- Keep talking. A short pause to find a word is fine; stopping early is not.
Practice at three levels
Our practice for this task comes in three levels you choose yourself: Foundation teaches the format, Standard is 12 sessions plus 12 full tests at the level most candidates aim for, and Hard is another 12 + 12 with academic topics and tighter wording. Progress is kept per level, so you can move up when the current one feels easy.
